Corporate Finance Analyst
Prairie Mountain Partners is a boutique financial advisory firm specializing in sell-side M&A transactions and valuations. We are looking for an Analyst to join our team and support our growing practice. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands on experience across transactions and valuations, while learning directly from senior professionals in a collaborative, small-office environment.
What You’ll Do:
Support execution of sell-side M&A mandates, including preparing marketing materials, financial models, and transaction documentation
Assist with valuation engagements across a wide variety of sectors
Conduct industry and company research to support client deliverables
Contribute to the day-to-day firm operations, recognizing that in a small team environment, everyone wears multiples hats
What We’re Looking For:
0-2 years of relevant working experience in corporate finance, investment banking, accounting, or a related field
We also encourage new graduates with a strong academic record and demonstrated interest in M&A or valuations to apply
Strong technical, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently, solve problems, and take ownership of tasks
Strong attention to detail and ability to balance competing priorities, timelines and requests while maintaining a high standard of work
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field
Why Join Prairie Mountain Partners?
The Upside:
Exposure to the full-cycle of a sell-side M&A transaction
Early involvement with clients and live deals
Personalized mentorship and one-on-one development
Broad experience across M&A, valuations, and firm operations
High degree of autonomy and ownership over your work
Our office is dog-friendly, so you may see a furry companion around the office
The Challenge:
You’ll be expected to work through problems independently and adapt quickly. While we don’t expect you to have all the answers right away, we value initiative and a proactive approach to tackling challenges
You may need to juggle multiple responsibilities outside of a narrowly defined role
The pace can be demanding, requiring flexibility and resilience
Working in the lower mid-market and mid-market means some “hands-on” work, from digging into incomplete financial records to working with clients directly to obtain information and clarify details
